| Victory in war is when one side of a conflict relinquishes their political, religious, social or sovereign claims over the other. | ||
| 4.2 | Victory from a series of events | |
| War does not consist of a single instantaneous blow, therefore victory can only come about from a series of events. | ||
| 4.3 | Absolute Victory | |
| The result of war is never absolute, therefore there is no such thing as absolute victory. | ||
