| While the proper understanding of the nature of war and warfare critically depends upon the correct identification and classification of its key elements, it also depends upon their proper prioritization. | ||
| The greater emphasis placed on a minor element of warfare, and the lesser emphasis on a vital element of warfare can lead to ill-conceived strategy and ultimate failure. Therefore the proper priority and understanding of importance of elements is a key factor in the planning and victory of war. | ||
