Article 36- Determination of Victory |
| 36.1 |
Determination of Victory |
| |
An army may be outnumbered, a general may be weak, there may be great losses, but a clear and just objective can shine through and represent ultimate victory in war.
| |
Such is the strength of clear and just objectives in war that they can transcend and overcome countless errors and losses and yet still assist in providing victory through political process. |
| 36.2 |
Poor objectives doomed to failure |
| |
No matter how secretive, no matter how well planned, objectives of poor morality such as annihilation, armageddon and genocide are ultimately doomed. |
| |
In the process while much destruction and loss of life may occur, such objectives only serve to awaken the apathy of nations to take a stand against tyranny and perceived evil. |
| |
When a leader or nation chooses such poor objectives, the outcome of the war is as certain as night and day- that failure is inevitable. |
