6. The Military

  Article 44- Structure
44.1 Structure
The structure of the military is essential for the effective training, maneuver, command and action of units. Traditionally, the military structure has been based on the infantry being the core units, with specialized technology-centric units providing supporting roles.

As a result, air power, naval power, artillery and infantry were seen as separate elements, with their own commands, but brought together in operations at the central command of a General.
44.2 Structure around warfare capability and knowledge
No longer is it adequate to consider military structures that separate into silos the management of weapons, armour, artillery, air power, infantry and the like. Instead, the optimum structure is one that recognizes that a military force to be optimum, must combine all required systems but limit its training, capability, knowledge to that narrow set of warfare tactics, theatres and weapon systems.
Therefore, a military unit may be capable of heavy force intervention and defence with the use of heavy armour, weapon systems and support. A military unit may be capable of highly mobile armour and reconnaissance and a unit might be capable of special operations, behind enemy lines infiltration, extraction and assassinations.
