Contrary to any argument that an attack on the home and family of an enemy breaks their resolve, such action only strengthens their resolve. Regardless of the barbarity of the acts of an enemy, such attacks should never be permitted to occur.
57.2

It was and still is a most grievous error to believe that the threatening and attack of the home of the enemy weakens the resolve of the enemy.
Bombing, rockets, terrorism are all misguided acts if designed to weaken the will of the enemy. Such acts only strengthen the resolve of the enemy to make a stand.
Whereas a peaceful home front for the enemy when confronted with great losses and hardship indirectly from war is more likely to cause the effect first desired.
Apathy and discomfort while war is a distant image is far more powerful than bringing the horror of war to the homes of the enemy.
